Celebrating the release of Ubuntu 8.04 (Hardy Heron)
2008-04-14 23:00
The new version of the free linux-based operating system, Ubuntu, version 8.04 (Hardy Heron) will be released on April the 24th. Therefore the danish LoCo team will hold a release party for the system on April the 26th at Møllegade 9-13 in Århus.
The event is planned by me and Søren Bredlund Caspersen, and together with Øjlug (The linux user group of eastern Jutland) we have managed to borrow a room at Prosa's (Trade union for IT-professionals) department in Århus.
I have also managed to get my self on the program for the event, where i will have a talk about the new features in Hardy Heron. There will also be talks by Mads Chr. Olesen and Carsten Agger. For the rest of the day there will be a install-party, so people can get help on installing Hardy Heron.
